LOOK OUT, LOOK OUT IT'S THE ATTACK OF THE BLARNEY STONE!! The Kakabeka Falls Curling Club hosted its annual mixed St. Patrick's Day bonspiel over the weekend. Congrats to everyone who participated. The Results from the 2008 - 11th Annual Mixed St. Pat's Spiel are: A Event winners - The team of Clark & Laurie Ross and Craig & Roberta Hainrich won for the 2nd year in a row. They defeated Neil Vaillant's foursome. B Event winners - Brian Belluz's foursome defeated Frank Armiento's team by skip rocks after a tie in the 8th end.
C Event winners - Terry Trewin's team captured the C event over the team skipped by Rob Mattas. Go for the Green "Leprechaun" D Event winners - Brad Bruce's foursome lost and thus won the Leprechaun event over Randy McKerracher's team. The top 4 teams in each event won CASH! The D event played the Leprechaun way also received cash.
Joyce Belluz won the free entry in to next year's spiel and Teri Macsemchuk won the hogged rock pot.

Mixed Bonspiel Once in "D" Event these rules are to be followed! All games are 6 ends with all teammates playing their regular positions, throwing all rocks as usual. ANY ROCK HOGGED IS TO BE PLACED ON THE BUTTON, PLAY THEN CONTINUES. If any ROCK is thrown through the HOUSE The opposing team decides where they want to place that ROCK! The object is to LOSE! Loser PLAYS Loser. Hint: Try to make them score points!
