Youth Curling

An expanded Juniors and Little Rocks program will be offered for younger curlers this upcoming season.

The Little Rocks program will be offered for ages from 7 to 11, and will run for approx. 14 weeks beginning in early November.  The program includes a T-shirt for each curler, participation in the Ontario Skill Awards Program, and an Awards Banquet at season’s end.  Also new this year, the children of KFCC members will be able to register in the “Little Rocks” program for FREE.

The Junior Program will be offered for ages 12 to 21, and will run for approx. 18 weeks beginning in late October.  The program includes, skill and strategy development, League Play (no experience required), and an Awards Banquet.  Curlers will be assessed by skill and experience and teams will be made up for the league play (approx. 12 games).  Each curler will receive a T-shirt, and participation in the Ontario Skill Awards Program is optional.  High school aged curlers can volunteer with the Little Rocks and receive Hours for their High School Credit.

Both programs are based on “learning through fun”.
